PRIVACY & COOKIE POLICY

Last updated: 15 August 2026

1. Our approach to privacy

Your privacy matters to us.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Our Parks Plus collects, why we collect it, how we use it and the choices and rights you have.

The data controller is:

Our Parks Plus is operated by:

Our Parks Ltd
Trading as: Our Parks / Our Parks Plus
Company number: 08569970
Registered office: 10 London Mews, London, W2 1HY
Email:getfitnow@ourparks.org.uk

2. Information we may collect

Depending on how you use Our Parks Plus, we may collect:

👤 Account and contact information

Your name, email address, telephone number, location, age or date of birth, username and account information.

💳 Purchase information

Details of memberships and courses purchased, transaction history and subscription status.

Payment card details are generally processed by our payment providers rather than stored directly by us.

🏃‍♀️ Fitness and programme information

Information you choose to provide about your fitness, goals, progress and participation.

❤️ Health and weight information

Where relevant to a programme, you may voluntarily provide information such as:

  • weight and weight-loss progress;

  • health or mobility information;

  • injuries or conditions;

  • information about medication;

  • dietary information; and

  • other information about your health and wellbeing.

Some of this can constitute special-category personal data under UK data-protection law and therefore requires additional protection.

💬 Community content

Posts, comments, messages, photographs and other information you choose to share within the Our Parks Plus community.

📸 Testimonials and member stories

If you choose to provide a testimonial, we may collect your answers, first name, age, general location, photograph and information about your results.

We will only use your story publicly where you have given us permission to do so.

Where a testimonial reveals health information, we will obtain appropriate consent before using that information for marketing.

This is especially important for the testimonials you've started collecting. ICO guidance says explicit consent is generally needed where special-category information is used for direct marketing.

💻 Technical information

We may collect information about your device, browser, IP address, website use, pages viewed and interactions with our services through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How we use your information

We may use personal information to:

✓ create and manage your account;

✓ provide memberships and courses;

✓ process purchases and subscriptions;

✓ deliver live and on-demand services;

✓ provide coaching and community features;

✓ communicate important service information;

✓ respond to questions and support requests;

✓ understand and improve our programmes;

✓ maintain security and prevent misuse;

✓ comply with legal and regulatory requirements; and

✓ send marketing where we are permitted to do so.

4. Our lawful bases

Under UK data-protection law, we need a lawful reason for processing personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on:

Contract — where processing is necessary to provide a membership, course or service you've purchased.

Legitimate interests — where reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve our business and services, provided those interests aren't overridden by your rights.

Consent — where you have actively agreed to a particular use, such as certain marketing communications or testimonials.

Legal obligation — where we need to process information to comply with the law.

Where we process special-category health information, we will also identify an appropriate additional condition under UK GDPR, which may include your explicit consent where appropriate.

The ICO requires organisations processing special-category data to establish both an Article 6 lawful basis and an Article 9 condition.

5. Marketing

If you choose to hear from us, we may send you information about Our Parks Plus programmes, classes, memberships, offers and community activities.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.

We will not sell your personal information to advertisers.

6. Who we share information with

We may use trusted organisations to help operate Our Parks Plus, including providers of:

  • website hosting;

  • community and course platforms;

  • payment processing;

  • email and communications;

  • video and online classes;

  • analytics;

  • customer support; and

  • professional services.

For Our Parks Plus, this currently includes services such as Squarespace and GroupApp, alongside relevant payment and communications providers.

These organisations may process information on our behalf or, in some cases, act as separate data controllers.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. International transfers

Some technology providers we use may process personal information outside the UK.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will take appropriate steps required by UK data-protection law to protect it.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, contractual and regulatory requirements.

Different information may therefore have different retention periods.

Where information is no longer required, we will delete or anonymise it where appropriate.

You should ideally create an internal retention schedule with actual periods rather than leaving this purely generic.

9. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights including the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.

Correct inaccurate information.

Request deletion of your information in certain circumstances.

Restrict processing in certain circumstances.

Object to certain processing, including direct marketing.

Request data portability in applicable circumstances.

Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To exercise your rights, contact:

[PRIVACY EMAIL]

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you have concerns about how your information is being handled.

10. Children's privacy

Our Parks Plus IS NOT intended for children under 18.

If children can participate in any Our Parks or Our Parks Plus activities, I would create specific safeguarding and children's privacy wording rather than trying to cover it with a generic paragraph here.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.

No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we regularly consider the measures appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information we process.

12. Cookies

Our website and services may use cookies and similar technologies.

These can include:

Essential cookies — necessary for the website or service to operate.

Preference cookies — remember choices and settings.

Analytics cookies — help us understand how people use our website.

Marketing cookies — may be used to measure campaigns or provide relevant advertising.

Where required, we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies.

You can change your cookie preferences through our cookie settings.

ICO guidance says users must be told about cookies and their purposes, and consent is generally required before non-essential cookies are placed. Merely continuing to browse isn't sufficient consent.

13. Third-party websites

Our website may contain links to other websites and services.

Their privacy practices are controlled by those organisations and not by Our Parks Plus. We recommend reviewing their privacy information when leaving our services.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology or legal obligations change.

The latest version will be published on our website with the date it was last updated.

Where appropriate, we will bring significant changes to your attention.
